The point is to tell why you think it is needed. I did this debate as a seminar for an exam in science and it was kinda cool

Personally I am for stem cell research in the event of an abortion. If a mother wants to have an abortion, use those stem cells for good and not just waste them, it can save other people's lives.

Just a short response I'll respond larger to anyone responding back.

I am for stem cell research.

All it does is open a whole new world of possibilities in the medical career(couldnt think of anything else to say)

Why would this be in-humane? For years scientists try to provide the public cures to many diseases, and now that we can actually "program" cells to do almost anything, why waste it when it can be helping millions of people.

I am also for stem cell research.

Well I never heard of "Stem Cells" before but now that I read that article I am for it because it can help people in their health in many parts of the body. Hey maybe it could help my niece sometime because she has had Open Heart Surgery!

Though stem cell research is a very controversial topic, I am as well for it, having an uncle who is a poster child for Stem Cell research (not kidding he was on a billboard for it due to being a quadriplegic). But the argument that naturally comes along is from the people against abortions, along with killing the baby it also uses its cells for the life of another being... so that's their argument. But once again I am for it.

I'm kind of confused about stem cell research because I seriously had no idea what it was until I watched the South Park episode on it when Cartman tries to get pregnant women to get an abortion.
