I'm interested to see what games people played, what systems, etc. before they came to NGU, since most of us now play cod.
For me, I used to do nothing but skateboard, but when I wasn't skating I'd play Tony Hawks American Wasteland online, it had a great community and a lot of players, made some friends I still talk to on that game. After a while of playing that game I started seeing some people using codes/mods, so I went and got myself a gameshark and used codes I found on the web; but I decided to take it a little farther. I met up with a guy named Tyler who at the time was a pretty big hacker on the THPS series, I guess you could say he took me under his wing and taught me everything I needed to know, and him and I continued to revolutionize hacking on the THPS series, hacking codes that the other big hackers said were impossible. I had my own website for THPS and Socom communities, until it later died due to THPS servers going offline.
After THPS games, I moved on to hack Socom using the knowledge I got from hacking THAW, I was a Global Moderator on one of the biggest Socom sites around at the time near 100k members, so by then I was pretty well-known for that as long as hacking the game. That website eventually shut down as well due to on-going server problems and the owner not having enough money to keep fixing it. I do miss that site and the friends I made there.

After Socom I got my ps3 and played cod4, I got to 10th 55 legit before I even knew about hacks on there, I remember when colored tags and shit were big and eventually got patched. WaW never really did it for me, so I kinda stuck with cod4 and GTA IV for the most part of the time I've had my ps3 until mw2. Now I don't play my ps3 nearly as much as I used to, its just not the same. Mw2 sucks and the cod4 community is slowly dying even more.
Well there's my e-life story, I'm curious to hear some others.
