Post: What did you do before NGU?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm interested to see what games people played, what systems, etc. before they came to NGU, since most of us now play cod.

For me, I used to do nothing but skateboard, but when I wasn't skating I'd play Tony Hawks American Wasteland online, it had a great community and a lot of players, made some friends I still talk to on that game. After a while of playing that game I started seeing some people using codes/mods, so I went and got myself a gameshark and used codes I found on the web; but I decided to take it a little farther. I met up with a guy named Tyler who at the time was a pretty big hacker on the THPS series, I guess you could say he took me under his wing and taught me everything I needed to know, and him and I continued to revolutionize hacking on the THPS series, hacking codes that the other big hackers said were impossible. I had my own website for THPS and Socom communities, until it later died due to THPS servers going offline.

After THPS games, I moved on to hack Socom using the knowledge I got from hacking THAW, I was a Global Moderator on one of the biggest Socom sites around at the time near 100k members, so by then I was pretty well-known for that as long as hacking the game. That website eventually shut down as well due to on-going server problems and the owner not having enough money to keep fixing it. I do miss that site and the friends I made there.

After Socom I got my ps3 and played cod4, I got to 10th 55 legit before I even knew about hacks on there, I remember when colored tags and shit were big and eventually got patched. WaW never really did it for me, so I kinda stuck with cod4 and GTA IV for the most part of the time I've had my ps3 until mw2. Now I don't play my ps3 nearly as much as I used to, its just not the same. Mw2 sucks and the cod4 community is slowly dying even more.

Well there's my e-life story, I'm curious to hear some others.

Gotta love how people think just because they're active on the internet they don't have lives, especially when nobody on this site probably knows what the other members do outside of NGU.

I was a member of Gamebattles. Holy shit that community sucked balls. NGU's community maybe 50% leechers but it still helluva a lot better than GB.

Bad to the bone.
Before i even had online, i used to skate skate skate. And just hangout with friends, dont think i was in my house more then 2 hours a day.

But as far as teh internetz
My E-life basically started like AceVirus's pretty much, but i started playing SOCOM: Combined Assault first on ps2. I got online hookups for that game. Played that for a while then looked at my other games for ones that are online. I saw Tony Hawks American Wasteland, this kid i know told me about it a lot. So i started playing, got known by the community, and thats where i met my good friend AceVirus Happy. We started E-chillen a lot. I told him i had SOCOM on THAW, and he challenged me to a match (he really sucked at first Facepalm) After we started playing a lot he got really good and so did i, we started playing that like everyday. Then he started to learn about codes. At that point he was getting big on SOCOM for modding with codes and all sorts of crap, things i couldnt do cause my ps2 blew bawlz. Then i made a mod disc! That actually worked, until that is, it was patched..The day after i made it....used it for one day....yeah, sucked. After SOCOM started to die out with all coders and everyone ruining the game, the PS3 had just come out. I got my hands on one of those and just started my next gen gaming with cod4 and ea skate!

Thats as far as my gaming went, as far as sites before this, i was on a few. One site i was an admin on was Gaming-sector. A site me, Ace and another friend NoMoorMercy owned. That went great for about a year until an unexpected shut down came from the site owners. Still till this day we have no idea why, but thats in the past. I started doing a lot of GFX things. I became GFX Staff on a site called SOCOMCITY. Many may know it. It was the most popular site on all of SOCOM. I have about 3 years GFX experience. I made things for the site and what not. Since then i really havent been active on a forum, this is the most active ive been in a while. But i found this site a while ago, just now started being active. And i hope to keep it that way and start a new forum life here.
