The people that I think the OP is referring to are what I call "no-lifers." The ones who have no "IRL" friends, the ones (adults) who play WoW in their mothers' basements, the ones who speak fluent Klingon, and the ones that can recite every line from the original Star Wars Trilogy perfectly.
