Obviously peoples views differ from country to country, and seeing as we have a large mixture of people from different races i was wondering, what are your thoughts on Western troops still being deployed in Iraq/Afghanistan? Do you believe they have outstayed their welcome? And when do you think the right time is to remove armed forces from a potentially terror stricken area?

My thoughts are varied on this to be honest, and i'd like others to share some views before i delve deep into my head.

So, please discuss...

It's just an opinion,but it's my point of fiew.

Of course I voted remove the troops, why do people in the world feel that there is need for death and misery? Fight wars with words between different countries governments, not bullets and bombs.

If we were to leave Iraq, the government would be overthrown quickly. It would then be a safe haven for the terrorists.

We did remove the troops from Iraq. Most, if not all, combat troops have been removed or are in the process of being removed.

The army need something to do so Afghanistan it is! :y:

I say either remove the troops entirely, or decrease the number of troops. Of course, removing all of the troops at one time would be a terrible move, as that would be ensuring that the natives we supported will lose the conflict. For the most part, at least.

I support President Obama in his agenda in this area. Removal of the Iraqi troops was necessary. The United States has done what has needed to be done in Iraq, and therefore keeping troops there is unnecessary. The conflict is now in Afghanistan, and I support Obama's plan to slowly hand the war over to our allies in Afghanistan. This is, in essence, what happened with Vietnam. Did the United States win the Vietnam war? No, but continuing to fight in the war is simply going to cost us more troops, and not ensure any victory whatsoever.

Time to start pulling them out, bit by bit.

take most out that have served there time sure it would be good to have them out , but it will be better than it not be done and them having to send more back over ...

Australia and other countries are fighting Americas wars.

They should deal with their own shit.
