Just do a general clean out clear out shit you dont need , un install anything you dont use , empty recycle bin do a virus scan all that and also check if your internet is capped

Search for a guy called 'Engage Tutorials' on youtube, his vids are very helpful and there are numerous ways to speed up your pc.

Also go onto notepad paste this in, save it to the desktop as clean.bat or something, then run it.

Or it could just be a build up of crap

It's advised you use programs like CCleaner regularly

Also defragmenting your harddrive - Run Dfrg.msc ... basically it organizes your hdd and reduces how scattered things are because it's best if thing's are stored sequentially so it can access them faster. This takes a long time though so either run it over night or start it and go out

If your start-up speed is slow, just remove everything that isn't essential e.g if you for some reason have several anti-virus programs running only use one preferably.

put msconfig into your search bar on the windows start menu. Find the start up tab and turn off anything that isn't needed.

Use CCleaner and also if your startup is slow Go to Run > Type "msconfig" and go to startup tab and uncheck what things you dont want to start up
Also if you want you can go to the services tab and uncheck the services you dont need. BUT BE CAREFUL with the services , some programs won't work if you uncheck some services.

get rid of old programs you dont use anymore and then run a system clean up .... if thats not enough.... try adding more RAM..... or run a virus scan
