(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I went on a search.
I am Atheist now, I am also an Ex-Catholic.
So Instead of being biased, I went to look at both sides of this argument. I got motivational quotes from both Atheists and Christians/Religious People. And it was shocking.

The Best Atheist Quotes:

Okay so heres this part.
All the above quotes were by some of the smartest people who ever lived. The best philosophers, scientists ect.
But yet when I come to the Christian side, I find that 99% of the quotes are taken directly from a 2000 year old book which people call the bible. Or some cheesy ass shit like this:

So tell me, How come nearly every famous scientist that has ever lived has been atheist? And that normal Religious people cannot come up with faults in Atheism?

This is the shit that turned me Atheist.

Thank you for Reading.

Because smart people don't believe in a Jewish Zombie who was his own father that can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree. =D

Etc, not ect. I'm sorry, I see it so much, so I finally had to say something.

Anyways, I don't really care what anyone believes in. Don't force it down my throat, and I'm fine. Now, when it comes to the hundreds of thousands of genocides due to people's differing morals and beliefs, that's a different story. But in everyday "normal" life, just keep it to yourself.

I mean, tell me about your beliefs, by all means. I find theology extremely interesting, but I honestly don't want to get into an argument about it.

Before anyone comes back with a snappy comment accusing me of hypocrisy, or that I'm accusing the original poster of forcing his beliefs down my throat, I'm not saying that. I'm saying what I think about it. Not bashing Fionn for posting this.

It's true, I tell you! The Easter Bunny relayed the story to me last night! Santa was there, too.

So there is no reward or punishment for what is done during life after one dies? There is nothing!!
The only moral code is what reward or punishment that occurs during life.
Organized religion is a means to temper society and establish power.
Personal faith can establish a moral code of conduct.
Its an age old debate since the inception of man.
Is there anything after death and is there score keeping during life.
Personal faith enables one to belive their actions during life can effect their opportunity after death.
There is not and will never be scientific basis to support that faith.
But that is what faith is. A belife in something that has no scientific merit.
I want to belive that I will be aware of loved ones that have died already or are still alive after my death.
There is no scientific basis for this desire, only my selfish wish to have it happen.
But having lost loved ones and knowing that I will leave loved ones behind, it is a strong enough desire to live my life with a personal moral code that would not prohibit me from it happening after death.
I'm not expecting to meet a god! I just want to be aware of the people I care about and no amount of quotes by prominent thinkers is going to take away my faith in that happening.
And if they are right, and my mind says they might be, what harm has my faith caused.
If everyone subscibed to their opinion, the world would be filled with selfish, moraless people, who's only concern is criminal or societal retribution.
It appears that more and more people are subscibing to that opinion every day.

Sorry for the rant, but I just lost a loved one and this struck an exposed nerve.

Just to clear things up, Albert Einstein believed in Spinoza's God.

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." - Albert Einstein

Most scientists don't actually believe in THE God, but rather they believed that there was something, but that we aren't in power to determine what.

Scientists, such as Galileo, were not Bible literalists.

But then again, who are we to determine who means what by their own words? We could interpret something that anyone has said as the complete opposite of what they actually meant.

Galileo and Einstein were both Agnostic.

And also, You got 9 arguments against Atheist's. Well done.
If you would like me to list the contradictions in the Bible, The fault's of Religion and every Religious mistake. I can do so.
But It will take a while you know that?

Actually Einstein only believed in God because he was such a famous scientist, it would give him a good reputation. But as Necrosis said, he had different beliefs which fell under Agnosticism.
