(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I went on a search.
I am Atheist now, I am also an Ex-Catholic.
So Instead of being biased, I went to look at both sides of this argument. I got motivational quotes from both Atheists and Christians/Religious People. And it was shocking.

The Best Atheist Quotes:

Then why call him God."

Okay so heres this part.
All the above quotes were by some of the smartest people who ever lived. The best philosophers, scientists ect.
But yet when I come to the Christian side, I find that 99% of the quotes are taken directly from a 2000 year old book which people call the bible. Or some cheesy ass shit like this:

So tell me, How come nearly every famous scientist that has ever lived has been atheist? And that normal Religious people cannot come up with faults in Atheism?

This is the shit that turned me Atheist.

Thank you for Reading.

The amazing thing is I'm non religious.
Was raised an RC, been in most places of worship except an Islamic temple. Read and explored every faith and finally realized that if there is a God his feet are to big to fit any one religion's shoes.
Not sure if there is one and if there is, I know he is and will remain unaware of me.
But, at times in ones life, there is a deep need to believe in something other than a final end.

I still argue that many of mankind's greatest minds ( I know not us ) have spent their lives and energy searching for an answer to the age old questions:
Is there a God?
Is he aware of me?
Is there life after death?
Many have come to different conclusions, all of them without absolute proof.
But I refuse to believe that most were ignorant or unreasoned. Nor do I believe that superior intelect resides with any one group of thought.

Most Religious explantions are thousands of years old and were unable to apply scientifc theory. They attempted to come up with stories, that in hindsight , seem childlike. It seems incredible that some still cling to a literal interpretation of the old testement's creationist story, but to each his own.

But mankind should never stop in it's quest to find the answers to all it's questions and should never stop questioning.

So a man dropping presents to every house in the world in one night is impossiblee, but someone who hears us all murmur to him all at once is plausable?
Your logic is truly flawed

Well honestly i believe that when it comes to these things espeically relgion its hard if not impossible to be un-baised. I do believe in god, I don't hate people for not believing in god.. and honestly people who hate others based on religion are going agasint their religion by doing so.

That being said i don't think you can say that the smartest people don't believe in religion because honestly there would just be too many people to account for, and either way smart people both believe and don't believe in religion.

Personally my arguement of why i believe is simple. There are way too many un answered questions, way to many unsolved mysteries and way to many loose ends while religion solves all of that. Why would anything exist without a purpose, why do people function in a sociatile manor and go agaisnt our wants to keep order, why do we have this drive? Why is there more out there besdies earth? Where did the particles that started the big bang come from? another big bang would just mean and endless loop.

You're probally thinking that its not a very hard factual peice of evidence but i just dont see how you can be sort of be purely factual when it comes to these things espeically seeing how facts are explaining nothing when it comes to these things.

I see what your saying about god should have make the world perfect and why is there desises and all these cancers that kill humanity if god loves us.

For this i have a couple responses, do you think you get anything on earth without suffering and hardwork? i believe it works the same way for the afterlife and the most cliche line, god works in mysterious ways.

Some people may not like it and give up on god but i just see it as another challenge/ test, if you think im being ignorant then your the blind one.

i agree with this i dont hate people that dont believe in god...and i wouldnt consider that a religion myself because you dont believe in anything but the present(i dont know mutch about atheism) but alot of people look to mutch on logic...like i said im a Christian and i just dont question my religion. Thats when people switch to atheism. And when you think about it religion is just a moral thing. When something bad happens then a miracle happens you get excited thinking god has put his hand down and helped

Believing in God out of fear or some compulsion would have no use. On the contrary if a person on his/her own learns about it and wants to adopt it, the faith will be from the core of heart and not the one that a can be dismantled too easily. This is a question about believing in one's own beliefs. If you trust in God there is nothing to fear about and if you are on your own then it is yourself who you should believe in.

im atheist and i always have been, neither of my parents are but i jus thought that if "god" had all the power then why are we living in suc,h a ****ed up world, and if we were to say its our failt he created us then its his fault. so... too many loopholes for me.
