Mys sister is now at High School and she tells me that all the teachers there say that Middle School wont affect you're record. Is this true? Does middle School count?
Middle School doesn't count at all. If you're going into college, they generally look at the last two years of High School. If you're going into grad school/university, they look at your GPA from college. Middle school is out of the picture. However, if you skip class and don't pay attention all throughout Middle School, you probably won't learn the fundamental stuff that you need to know for High School and the rest. 'Cuz the stuff they teach in the next year builds on what you've already been taught (especially in math and sciences). So basically, don't stress too much about grades, but actually make SOME effort to learn lol.
It DOES count if you want to get into good honors classes, they're not gunna let some dumbass little kid with all c's into honor classes. But if you just wanna get into regular classes, go ahead and get straight c's.
Take it from me, no matter what grade you're in you should work your hardest. I never cared about school, barely slid through middle school, then failed 9th grade. It may not be AS important but you should still work hard, because the way you are in middle school is a reflection of how you'll be in high school which won't cut it if you're not working hard.
Only 9th grade and above counts toward your GPA. Doesn't mean you shouldn't try though, it's easy enough as it is. Doing well should get you into better classes when you do enter High school.
