Do a barrel roll!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So got fired from my job the other day giving a new girl friendly banter .

It was the end of the day and this girl having only been there 3 weeks turned around and called me lazy, I told her to shut up because between me and the guy next to me we train them and run our department and do the job she does aswell.

She then said "Your a dribbler"

My reaction to that was "Your moms a dribbler thats why I like her"
and went to high five her and the bitch spat in my face.

after that I went nuts and told her not to speak to me again and not to bother with asking me anything even about work.

I spoke to the police and they arressted her for assault she got fired for that aswell, But i got fired for my your mom's a dribbler comment.

On top of that she's now claiming that it caused her great distress because she doesnt see her mother much as she lives in nigeria with her family.

I now face criminal charges and a fine .....**** THIS COUNTRY >:(

and before people say you retailiated it you deserved it note this in the 3 weeks she was there she made a few statments such as

If it not for my belief in god I would not talk to white people because I am black"

Regulary called people bladclots and whatever in and office enviroment and eben took the piss outta a gay guy :(

What I don't get though is how the fact her mother lives in Nigera, upsets her by the comment that her mother is a drooler. No connection lmao
She just used that for revenge of losing her job methinks

If you read it properly he got fired and she's calling the police about the 'your mother is a dribbler' insult, before she spat on him. Therefore it's unjustified. I totally feel for this guy, the police don't always get the right side of the story. They're essentially government paid parents of the country, that get things wrong sometimes. They aren't robocops.

No, She spat in his face after he made the your mothers a dribbler comment, while he was trying to high five her ( not sure what he was expecting with that move ).

I feel bad for the guy as well.
My point was that as soon as she spit in his face he should have reported her to a supervisor. That was grounds for immediate termination.
I suspect he lost his job for his behavior after the spitting incident and not for what he said to her prior.

The involvement of the police also raises questions of how out of hand the incident must have gotten in the workplace.

Feel bad for him and the woman seems to have some serious issues, but as a manager/ trainer he should have been aware of them before, reported them to his superiors, and modified his behavior towards her during the situation.

Ah I see. Yeah you're right but if i'm honest I would've reacted the same way as him Happy
But I still feel from the information he's given us that the police and his supervisor hasn't taken the right procedures but again I don't know how he reacted so that could've been the last straw really

Wait...what?
It seems that you have came off rough in this; however in any case you must try and see it from the employer version of accounts.

A manager had not been thick-skinned or businessman like in managing his or her team.

If you have a problem with someone on the team and you can't handle it yourself as the manager, then you consult someone that is higher than you and can deal with it.

Joking or not, all relationships when in a place of business should remain inter-personal business relationships.

She may have started the insults, if you could call it that, by saying you were lazy and 'a dribbler', but as her superior you should have let her calm down and then speak to her in private about what she has just said to you.

You chose to react in a different manner, and throw an insult back at her.

Her defence isn't strong against the allegations, and if you stopped at the time and never retaliated you would still be in your job.

I know that if this situation happened in my business, I would certainly be considering firing both of you.

In a time when people will gladly fill your shoes in a business, when every job has 1,000 applicants...there is no room for error.

You made a mistake. It's not something that can be changed, unless you change it yourself.

If you choose to look it as a lesson rather than a mistake, maybe you can work your way up in another business and learn the lesson you have experienced.

This is probably not what you want to hear, and it's probably not what people want me to say...but it's my opinion and I think I should voice it.

There's not much you can do man. It sucks but you gotta keep on moving forward. I suggest you talk to a lawyer and see what you can do. Might not be much but it's better than doing nothing.
