(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Seeing as majority of NGU is composed of teenagers, we should all recognize the day is coming where you cannot play Call of Duty all day =D.

I'm interested in seeing what some of the members here on NGU have thought about for their future. What do you aspire to do and give back to society?

Thread Rules:

  1. No flaming no matter what
  2. Give reasons of why you aspire to do "that thing"
  3. Don't post useless things. This is a real discussions. Try to stay on topic!
  4. Give some feedback to other users if you want to. Make it constructive feedback. Don't just say "Stupid idea".

As for my aspirations...I hope to one day work in the field of economics. I love both history and math and elements of both of these subjects can be found in economics Happy.

My aspiration is to qualify as a deck officer then find work on a deep sea ship that just goes from continent to continent and that way I can see the world and get paid to do it.

I realy have two different carries in mind. One would be an accountant, I love math I always have, and im good at it. My mom has done some accounting at one of her jobs so she knows how to and can help me
Another one would be a salesperson. I could sell a phone to cow, 'nuff said.
The one im really thinking of is a sports broadcaster/analysist. I've always loved sports and am very knowledgeble in them. I always have mini-debates with friends about whos going to win a game or i have peopel asking me who to start for fantasy football.

I havn't thought of what college im going to go to or anything like that but i still got a couple years cause im only 15.

I wanna get a job being a TV broadcaster. Either on the news or any TV show, it would be so ****ing sweet. Although I have no idea how I'd get into that as a proffession. If anyone could tell me, I'd be really grateful.

Either that or an accountant, in the UK you can become an accountant without AS / A levels, which is good, because I ****ed mine up horribly.

Yeah, dude, one of my best friends spent his whole life training to be a pilot in the Navy (they have the plane he wants to fly), but with David Osbourne and the massive cuts, the plane he's been training to fly has been completely scrapped. No more. Ever. So now he's ****ed and doesn't know what to do with life, which is horrible as he started doing everything he could for it at the age of 14. He's flown about 50 times as well, but he'll never be able to do it for a proffession now :(

For the first part I'm guessing you'll have to work behind the scenes maybe? Or acting/drama school?
Google it.

As for the second, I also want to be a Pilot but in the RAF. Your mate should still try. NEVER give up. If he wants something like that so bad he'll try everything to get their, even if it's flying another plane, or even be a navigator.Tell him to go to the RAF/Navy/Army careers office for pilot jobs. They'll have some somewhere, even if it's helicopter in the Air Corps, it's still flying, which I would deffo settle for. I need to start training though, fitness wise. I could probably do it, but I want to nail it. But like you said though with the cuts, it will be hard to get in, Unless the next gov. sort it out and get the shit back together. If I can't be a Pilot, I'll have a look at anything in the RAF, just as long as I can be in it, and as long as it's not a shit job, such as dental area etc.
If that fails for anything other than Medical, then I will look into the fire service and the Police force. Also maybe a commercial airline pilot, which I would look at if I got the be a pilot in the RAF. I'd have a lot better experience of flying if you get me.
