Well i made this thread to inform you on some stuff about these company's.

Normal xbox's or slims cost around $250. To make a xbox is costs less then $10 i heard. so they are making around $200 dollar profit if you think about it

they buy bulk millions of parts from china for really cheap and build it in america. Really all they need is plastic and medal. Same with sony same thing.

Well also you need to think about they have to pay everyone that made it designed it programmers etc.... so all that adds up, i'm saying the produce costs after all that stuff.

There's a lot of circuit boarding, hell, a decent TV remote costs $20, and probably $5-$10 to make. I don't believe this.

I got a friend right now working at best buy. They get phones in there for maybe 30$ and mark it up to like 120$. Simple solution--get a job at best buy or have one of your friends get one. Employees can buy anything in there at the same price the store bought it for.

No way this is even near accurate. There is no way it only cost $10 to make an Xbox. Even if the parts are bought in china. Even the natal costs $67 to manufacture. Up until a few months ago Sony was making a loss on every PS3 that was sold, They only recently started making a profit on them. When the Xbox 360 originally came Microsoft was losing about $300 for every console sold. Since the the have drastically reduced production costs and now have started to make a profit on the Xbox 360. Also account for shipping, tax and the amount the store makes when you are looking at the shelf price.
