But I have never been on a proper holiday and I have a chance next july to go to New York for a 2 week holiday with lots of money to do whatever I want. But my mum gave me an option.

New york or put the money towards a Car.

In the long run I know the Car would be the winner, But I have always dreamed of going to New York. Just to get out of shitty fugging Ireland.

What do you guys think I should do?

Take the trip.
You are going to end up with a car either way.

Get the car. Save up again for the holiday?

Or, do what you thinks right - that's the best answer.

Go to New York, sell magazines and cheesesteaks on the street, join the mob, act in a musical, and use all your new cash to buy the car .

I'd say get the car mate.

New York, being in America, is a place you would want to experience when 21yrs old plus. At the age of 16 you will not get the full experience of New York in my opinion, but you will most definitly feel the benefits of having a car.

Remember, a car is the closest thing to freedom you will get. I'd say go with that.

if u was 18 i would say go to newyork and get laid, fuk as many bitches as u want in the clubs, and get hammered, but u r only 16, better og getting a car, and then just save money up, for newyork,

i have been to ny its great place but u go there and u forget about everything :/ i went when i was 11 and i have forgot alot and its just for a few days deffo go for a car mate ;

Get the car, take the trip, get the car, take the trip. I can't make up my mind. Although I am grateful that this is my problem when some people out there are homeless and have nothing.

But my aunt took my younger sister to Spain 5 times and left me behind. No-one considered my feelings. It was really hard just standing at the front door step as she left. I had a tear in my eye because I wanted to go so badly, but no1 gave me the chance. This is my chance. And I think I'm going to take it.

Like Como said, you have to be a lot older to experience New York to the max, so you may as well go when you're older :y:
