- More active staff. To get a spot on staff, what do you have to do? Make a lot of threads and be active. I don't see them still carrying that factor on, when they get promoted.
- Be more "open" about the staff choosing. Not all 13 year old kids at immature. The leechers gave people that are younger than 15 a bad "rep" around the internet. Some 13 and 14 year old kids are mature enough to handle a spot on staff. Even though there's only a handful of them on the internet, they're here. I bet you judge me by my posts , threads, and they way I handle my self you wouldn't have known I was 13 years old.
Those were the two main things that I wasn't too pleased with here. Well, 2011 is a new year and I hope it can bring a long new changes with it. Merry Christmas to all and have a Happy New Year!

[I want to see some people on here calm down a little bit. I mean, when I first joined a few months ago, people were pretty nice, and there was no initial hate between members. But in the ShoutBox, I see people flaming all the time, even out of nothing. Too much arguing :n:
I also think members should be respecting the mods a bit more. When ever some users do something they even know was wrong, they start to call the mod stupid, and write mean comments on their visitor messages. People don't realize all mods aren't TRYING to get them infracted or banned, they are just doing their job.

Another thing is moderators have to be like cops. What I mean by this is that if they get called a name or anything like that they can't just go infract the person, that is just abusing your power.. That is the same as a cop because I mean if somebody calls them a name or does something they don't like they can't just go throw them in jail. The reason I bring this up is I have seen infractions getting reversed due to the fact that a rule wasn't broken and the moderator was just getting even I might say.

Yeah I hate the fact that soon as someone gets promoted to moderator they think they are super and act like they know everything. And if someone says something bad about them e.g. give their opinion on the moderator, the moderator will have a brain tumour and infract them -.-
Also i just wanted to say i hate people who thank post's by staff just because they are staff regardless of the post :/
Also!! I like alot of the staff here but it just annoys me that whenever you go in the SB you are kinda shunned upon because you aren't in there 24/7 and you're not in their posse

Alright here it goes, Im going to divide it into 2 parts- the regular community and the staff.
I think the regular community (us premiums and non-prems) should not be so hard on the mods ALL the time. I think its fine to complain about them sometimes, but the general community needs to not complain about them so much. Im going to TRY and be nicer to all the staff in 2011. They are all human too and make mistakes. And yeah this probably doesnt mean much coming from a guy who got infracted within the last week for insulting staff, but whatever. Also, I think the general community needs to worry less about reputation. Rep starts so many arguments on this site it's unbelievable. We shoudnt take rep so seriously. We should treat it as a nice feature of the forums, but not the only thing that matters. Another problem is asskissing. A lot of members do suck up to the mods and it's pretty obvious. It also angers the others that dont like to be suck ups. We all know people on this site that suck up to try and get a mod spot. My suggestion to those that asskiss all the time: stop. You can still have a chance at a spot on staff but you dont have to asskiss. I think if the general community treated mods just like regular members without sucking up to them, then this forum would be a lot nicer place.
Now for the second part- the staff. In 2011, I think the admins REALLY need to start making progress on the site (homepage etc...). This site really has not made any changes since I got here a year ago except that there has been more leechers and lots of staff changes. This site needs to start upgrading, and we all know it. Another thing the admins should do is consider more site suggestions. Very rarely do you see any suggestions passing, and a lot of times there are some good suggestions that go unnoticed/rejected for a dumb reason. Also, I think that they should re-evaulate the way scammers are disciplined. If you're convicted of scamming, you should either A) be permabanned or B) be permanently banned from the auction section if it was a minor offense. For the moderators, I think they need to be willing to change a little bit. I dont think they should be closing a thread just because it was bumped 1 time or because a little flame war started. Just delete the flame comments and leave the thread open. Over-modding has been a bit of a problem lately.

Everyone should get a clean slate, I seem to get on with most if not all members and staff. That is how it should be for everyone. I think if you have a dispute with someone or you just don't like them in 2011 on NGU you should out it behind you as we can't keep living in the dark or we will never move forward.

I agree with Chrom3 on being more open about staff. Around the time of the Modern Warfare 2 Challenge Lobbies is when the younger generation got a bad name. Because it was mostly 12-15 year olds leeching for them. Maybe in this post I'm acting as if I'm not 12, but a lot of people don't know my age. Yes, I am 12.
When I've said it to people, not a lot of them believe me because I'm mature. Some 12 year olds around this place are a lot more immature than I. The only way I can think that anyone could guess my age is, I do tend to flame easily..
I'd also like to see NGU be a more welcoming and happy community.

- I would visit the site a lot more if the community was nicer. For example, if somebody like me went into the SB to say hi, they would get ignored by everybody in the SB. The site would seem a lot more attractive if the community was more welcoming. And yes, for people like me, the site really is like this.
- Stop being so serious staff. Damn, I post one joke about Bin Laden and it gets deleted in a matter of seconds. What's that about? Everybody knew it was a joke. There's more important stuff you can be doing than getting worked up over a harmless joke.
- Get Outsider more active or tell him to turn the invisible feature off. He has plenty of time for facebook but no time for NGU. Why is that? Surely he could come on for half an hour a few times a week. It feels like he's neglecting the site. Ask him to get back in touch with the community. The vast majority of the community don't know the guy.
That's all I have for now. If anything else comes to mind I'll add it.

I would definitely say be more friendly to everyone, and try and drop 4chan related trolling. Just so everyone feels welcome whether they be a leach or someone who just made a mistake.
Also Take out Negative Rep, Rep should only be given if the member has done something right, and Negative 'Repping can quickly become abused.

to even get a hello from a random other memebr is like amazing some people even printscreen it, is this how friendly we are? Last time i looked on NGU it got rep for being a FRIENDLY forum, well this must be NGU because we never get a hello in the SB

I think we should have an equal system. Aka Staff are equal to premium and non premium member, As some mods dont get infracted for flaming ect where as premium and non premiums do.
This would be fair on every user and make the forum more of a better community.

I have been in the shoutbox alot lately and i notice that whenever there is a rule on the notice on what not to do, there are users who think it's hilarious and do it on purpose just for the hell of it, ya I understand a joke but once we have like 5+ people doing it as well, it gets chaotic, so basically members should know the rules and we shouldn't have to remind them because if they it in the notice they are just going to do it, if they still do it they should get banned from sb
Another thing, I've seen this a lot recently, that most of the non premiums always feel victimized when they do something wrong, then if you tell them something they get offended and start all this bs that we are picking on them just because they are non premium, like come on guys, if you are going to do something wrong, man up to it and face the consequences, don't coward away and make up stuff, be mature.....Like the other day a non prem and a prem were flamming and the non prem got mad because he thought I was only saying it to him. Reminder, when it comes to premium and non premiums, you are all treated the same with the rules, the only reason why it may look like the mods pick on the non premiums more is because they tend to break the rules more often
Idk if we have this already but we should have like a Member of the Year awards and a Staff of the Year awards, and have like different type of catergorized awards (most helpful, funniest, best member etc...)
