Because in the U.S , if someone punches/threatens you and you strike them back it is considered assault/battery. Personally i believe that if your life is in danger or someone hit you , strike them back. But i have different view points. I know this is broad , but expand your view points on fist fighting and self defense.

When i said i would fight a Person if they called me out that was in my "How I Think" Section that section is just me as a Individual, I Do Not Encourage people to copy how i am because i for 1 do not take Shit. If someone comes at me i will not run i have the right to defend my self. If someone thinks they are Tough and wants to fight me i Will go for it, I don't get mad if people make jokes i fight to prove that i am not a Coward(Yes It is Against the Law to fight for no reason, Unless there is a Probable Clause. I know that but remember i as a individual do not back down Unless it is in a Place where i will get Caught/In-trouble/Cause harm to others by Accident.)(I sound Ignorant, i know but its just how i grew up, you have to prove your self to gain respect)

I meant to Say "Pocket Knife" not "Knife" and Im not really in the Mood to goto the .Gov Site and look up the Penal Code for your State, but you can go to a Local Sporting Goods Store: Big5, Turners, Sport Chalet, Sport Authority.. and ask the workers there and they should be knowledgeable about the laws since they are selling the knifes(Thats a Much Faster way to get the Answer). In California you don't even have to be 18 to Carry a Pocket knife on you. (Source: California Police Penal Codes and Laws. It Dose NOT state a Age limit to the Age Required to carry a Knife)(I came upon that law a couple months ago when i was reading a Corner Investigator buddy of mines police handbook). Also i am not talking about getting mugged on school grounds. Personally if i was in high school and a kid told me "Give me all your Stuff" and 'Threatened to Beat me up" i would Punch him Right away and walk away and a teacher most likely would have seen it and Since you were Threatened you had the right to act in that manner(schools don't look at it that way though, they always say "If you have a Problem tell us right away") Also I suggest if any of you were to be getting mugged in the Streets to give the Guy your Things then Simply Go and Contact a Police officer Right away and be Happy you did not get injured! Me Personally i always like to fight off the person but i have experience so don't copy me Unless you have Great Knowledge of Disarming a Human(Even I can mess up and get murdered, it only takes 1 small mistake.). Also i Dont have a CCW you dident read that part right. I said "if" someone Runs at me with a Crowbar and i am a Legal CCW Permit Holder"
And Yes if anyone Needs Advice i am Always here for you guys.
For You Kids who want to learn some Disarming Moves and Technicians Youtube has some very informative videos on how to do them. Just make sure if you Do plan on trying to Disarm someone that you Practice Alot before ever trying to do it(I dont recommend you doing it Unless You Really have to Though, because 1 wrong move can decide if you Live or Die.!)

oh i misunderstood the Permit part. But for the knife part i know that most states go by the legal size of the blade. But dont fight with a dull knife either . Yea and that part of the school system i agree. I see the "10 day suspensions" happen to many people who fought because they were cornered and even had their parents come to the school to try and fix it.

Its Cool don't worry . Yes i know, when i say Pocket knife i mean the legal ones. But really you could have a dull knife and still use it, As long as there is a point even if its not sharp it takes little effort to stick it in someone. Thats wired, When i was a Freshmen i got in a fight Defending my self against a Soft-more and when i was sent u to the office i remember telling the Freshmen Principle what happened and she said i know you were just defending your self, but at this school "Anyone involved in a fight, Starting it or Defending your self" you will get suspended. But since i was just defending my self i only got suspended for that same day so i only missed my last 2 periods. But the other guy got 3 days since he Rushed me(Attacked me). The freshmen principle was so nice she called my dad and told him that i was in a fight and she told him "Dont be mad at your son, he dident do anything wrong, he was just defending his self"

yea high school fights usually happen in your freshmen and high school years. Im currently a Softmore , but i remeber the last week of summer people would tell you ridiulous rules like " Dont ask people for direction " ( Except people that have like Office aid) . But yea usually the softmores took so much crap their freshmen year they take it out in the new coming students. But the staff has favriotism over the freshemen and the seniors . So the person that charged at you in your freshmen year is a D-BAG . Btw freshmen principal? Like i know their someone in charge with the freshmen department finances and other things . You might mean the Trust Counsler?
