well, i can tell from my perspective, you have a weird taste in rock/metal music, besides pantera and metallica.
black sabbath is not metal..its mild hard rock at best. same with judas priest.. but i dont knock peoples musical tastes, no matter how far off they from my tastes. however..nowadays their are so many sub genres its insane..like korn..in the genre NU metal and some people put Godsmack in Alternative ( only assholes put a hard rock band in alternative rock)...yea..i know. this is an example...death metal..black metal, heavy metal, speed metal..its BS.

Black Sabbath is metal, or at least the oldest band to be considered metal (Paranoid, Master of Reality, etc. all good metal albums). Judas Priest practically refined metal as we know it (just listen to the Painkiller album and tell me you don't hear speed metal).
This is primarily a gaming forum, and I came here for that, but people here just don't know their metal. Also, if you think anything besides Pantera and Metallica are weird then you haven't given metal a good listen. Also, genre isn't bullshit. There's a HUGE difference between Metallica, Meyhem, and Deicide and that's why they're all under a different label. Don't treat genre names like they're some sort of musical racism.

people can consider music for whatever it is. just because we or them dont like your style of metal, this doesnt mean they are wrong with their metal selection. and judas priest was way too mainstream. but so was metallica and pantera. but what isnt these days. and people may say black sabbath is metal, but that style of metal is weak compared to others of their time, just like elvis was considered the king of rock and roll..yet we both know he was barely rock and rock and more of a hard country singer. it is what it is. youlike ur music, and i lie mine, as long as we can enjoy the metal in the forms we like, we should get along just fine. metal has to fight with the carrie underwoods and elton johns to stay on top.

Parkway drive are best band its its genre metalcore going around.

Metalcore IS pop garbage, say what you want about Metallica but Karl Sanders, Muhammed Suicmez, and Chuck Schuldiner shit all over your watered down hardcore bullshit.
I would bet that you know nothing of metal music, guitar, or even the definition of "talent". Also, you might want to remember that if it wasn't for Metallica and Megadeth there would be no metalcore. Now take your bullshit elsewhere, this is a metal thread.
