Okay, so before I go on a rant I'm going to (try to) calmly say what makes YouTube suck now to the average user- then explain how YouTube screwed me out of several hundred dollars.

So first off, why YouTube sucks(when compared to how it was before Google got involved):
- The design of the channels on YouTube was changed sometime last year, and brought along a ****-load of bugs with it. Whilst the design itself wasn't all that bad, the bugs often made YouTube unusable and some of them still aren't fixed... which brings me onto my next point.
- Bugs. How is it Google manages to create 5 new bugs everytime they fix just 1 problem or change 1 feature? It's f*cking unbelievable.
- Several new home-pages, the current one being the worst of the lot. Why the f*ck has everybody been getting less and less views on their videos lately? Because of this stupid design that clogs up all of your subscription uploads! That's why! The worst part is however they won't even give us an option to change back, despite thousands and thousands of messages clogging up their blog and facebook page begging for them to undo the mess they have made.
- Ads. Remember there used to be so few ads, even on partner videos? Now it's hard to find a video of any nature without an ad, nice job putting profit ahead of the people making you all your money Google :y:
- BS flagging system. Many of you will already know how exploitable this is, and I've seen several mass flagging bots being sold around the forums, proving it works very well- actually too well. Any non-partner video can be taken down with a few BS flags, meaning if someone has it in for you you're f*cked. This also brings me onto my short story from this morning...


So I wake up, normal day, and I sign-in to my old YouTube- the one with the modding videos featuring hunter from before the jailbreak was even possible. Then I see a notice at the top, saying my MW2 Mods video of over 300,000 views has been mass-flagged under "scamming" and removed from YouTube.
I understand why YouTube might classify it as scamming with a sharecash link in the description, but if they actually cared to try it out themselves they'd see they do actually get a full tutorial on jailbreaking and modding CoD, I believe I copy/pasted Juddy's tutorial p) into a .txt file for the download.
But yeah, that doesn't sound so bad. It will now. The past 29 days alone I have made over $500 from that video, which for someone of 15 years of age and in a bad financial situation is a ****-load of money, especially for sitting on my ass all day. And who knows how much more money I could have made? Certainly at least another $500 over the coming weeks/months, and that's at a bare minimum.

So yeah, YouTube just screwed me out of hundreds of dollars. I have appealed the decision to have it removed, status is pending. But knowing YouTube's terrible support I have little hope.

They can do as they wish to their own site. You do not own it in anyway. I could understand if the site was subscription based but its not its free so stop complaining.

Ray William Johnson is a joke inside a joke inside another joke floating in a bottle at sea which is youtube. And in that sea is a bunch of lil ppl working and working. But what for? The people that visit the site? No. People that enjoy posting videos? No. They do it for the money. Youtube has just went down the drain. There really should just be a gaming video and stuff site to post all that good stuff.

Youtube is not what it usd to be, people got greedy for money.

It's not really free though, YouTube make millions and millions of dollars out of us with ads and all that other **** they've introduced, now if we as the users decide to stop using YouTube they're totally f*cked.

So before you tell me to stop complaining, maybe you should realize that it's best for both parties(YouTube & users) if I and others complain- especially considering how close so many people are coming to quitting YouTube altogether and finding an alternative.

YouTube doesn't suck, but it was certainly better back before Google got involved.

They have ads to keep it free for you. Is it that hard to understand?

i can help you with that just download Ad blocker IT HELPS ME ALOT !!! from Vevo to Machinma to other youtube partners no ads whats so ever so no waiting for the crap commercials BUT All though youtube does load alot faster between these couple years they spend thousounds of money for servers and monthly servers alot...
