(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am directing this thread towards all those who want to be promoted to moderator really badly.

This is what really happens if you become mod.

You have to be on nearly every day.
You have to act professional and mature.
You must have the ability to deal with tricky situations with little hastle
You have to answer all reported posts and deal with silly insignificant problems

Being a moderator does get you a little more respect yes. But it is very hard work and you need a lot of time and patience if you want to do it correctly.

So you can see the staff SB (usually dead)
You get access to the staff section.

But that's really it.

So for all the little kids on this forum who want to be a moderator simply for the colour and respect, wise up and stop acting like imature little brats that spat their dummy out.

One problem with mod selection is the dedication the member has demonstrated.

It is easy to be very active for short periods of time. It is difficult to determine how long they will be commited to the position or their real motive in submitting for it.

I agree that most do not realize the time commitment that is involved and whether the rewards are worth the effort.

That is why the turnover is so high.

I wouldn't want it and wouldn't want to be the admins that have to choose them without really knowing members motivations.

It would be nice to see the mods all acting the same and showing the unbiased commitment that some of them have!!

Site is wonderful
Just work for mod and you will get it one day. I wouldn't even think it would be that hard? If you have alot of free-time. Just be active, be freindly, report posts. Not hard. :y:

People just want to be mod for power. Now that the news team got mod powers I finally see how much work it is and I don't even have full mod powers. Bottom line unless your actually willing to give hours of your time a day to help don't ask to be mod.
