Well, this is starting to get me really ticked off. I just bought my HD PVR for 200$, and the AV Componet cables. I hooked it all up, with the "out" cables hooking up to my T.V. (componet 1) and my "in" PS3 AV Cables going into my ps3.
I plug it in, and my T.V. auto goes into YPbPr1 (I think that is what it is called), but the screen is Pink.
My T.V is 1080i (maxed, it doesnt include 1080p) HD. WHich should be compatible with the HD PVR.
I checked on my laptop, and there is video and sound, but on my T.V. I can hear sound, but a pure GREEN NOW screen.
If you can successfully help me record, without the pink screen, step by step, I will give you 9$.
Plug your PS3 back up normally. (Without going through the PVR) and change your settings to Component.
Then hook it up through the PVR and hold the power button until the PS3 beeps twice. (This doesn't reset any data or affect you playstations security in any way). Give it a few minutes and turn it back on.
Should be working. If it isn't, try reinstalling the software from the Hauppauge disc.
This is what worked for me, I hope you get it figured out.
Notes: IMPORTANT: Make sure your resolution is set to 720p or lower. Any higher and your PVR won't be able to display anything at all.
