Look, I Am Not A PS3 Fanboy, I Am Just Saying Some Facts About The PS3, I Own Both PS3 And XBOX 360, An I Think hat Both Are Epic.
I Am Gonna Make Another Thread Like This For The XBOX360 Tomrow, So Dont Get Upset XBOX FaBoys.

The PS3 is stronger

The RSX Graphical Processing Unit has been clocked at 1.8TFLOPS, a very powerful figure. It features the Cell processor which has seven cores running at 3.2GHz. In comparison, the 360 has only three cores running at 3.2GHz, and its overall performance is clocked at 1TFLOP. The PS3's GPU tops an entire 360 by itself, without bringing in its processor.

[multipage=Cheaper]
The PS3 is cheaper

Yes, cheaper. For $300, you could get a 360 with 60GB disk space, or you could get a 80GB PS3 for $400, paying only $100 extra for all those things the 360 lacks: More powerful hardware, Bluray player, integrated WiFi, free online gaming, rechargeable gamepads (thus saving batteries), and media center capabilities. With its powerful hardware, the PS3 is much more future-proof than the 360, which still works on DVDs.

[multipage=Reliabe]

The PS3 is more reliable

The machine has an integrated AC adapter, the fans are perfectly silent, it has extremely rare hardware failure issues while the 360 fails over and over with the infamous Red Ring of Death issue, and many other heating issues.
[multipage=Games]
Concerning games

the PS3 has had many exclusive blockbusters. Little Big Planet, Resistance 1/2, KillZone 2, Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear Solid 4, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted, and many more. I do agree on the point that the 360 also has many great games, so I'll just say that it depends on which system you feel has games that you would personally enjoy playing more.
[multipage= Features]
The PS3 does more stuff

It also functions as a Bluray player, what with Bluray winning the HD format war, this fact has its importance rising with time, as BD slowly overpowers DVD as the leading format for movies (and games!). It works as a media center, allows you to share music and videos between your HDTV and your computer.
[multipage=Sales]
Sales

The PS3 has not sold as much as the 360, nor does it have as big a community or as many games as the 360, but that's only because it was released a while after the 360. In the last two years, the PS3 has sold more units than the 360 did in its first two years of release.

he Xbox 360 was released in 2005 and according to CNET the Xbox360 rates: an 8 for design; 9 for features; and 8 for performance. Users rate PS3 as 7.4 of 10 based on available information.

There are techies who root for the Xbox360 and those who firmly believe in the magic of the PS3. Here are reasons why the Xbox360 may win the game war.

1) The base line advantage is in the pricing. The Xbox is more affordable than the projected sale price of the two versions of the PS3.

2) The Xbox360 has a faithful following among gamers in the US. On the other hand the PS series are popular internationally. Ultimately it is the gamers and developers who will decide which way the vote will swing.

3) The games are user-friendly and the facilities for online gaming are great.

4) The Xbox360 is a high resolution media hub and windows media extender.

5) The Xbox360 makes the fine line between PC and console gaming hairline thin. The Xbox is according to CNet “a high end PC gaming rig fitted into a small box.”

6) The 20GB hard drive is compact and emulates the laptop design slim and compact. So in the case of Xbox 360 the keywords are compact and powerful.

7) The interface is user friendly and state-of –art and has color tabs indicating important features like gaming, media, system settings, and Xbox live. The options can be accessed by just moving the directional keypad left to right.

Cool Man (aka Tustin) The Xbox360 Gamer Card is futuristic it has a personal avatar, a 21 character motto, settings for predetermined goals, Achievements, which fosters healthy competition.

9) The Xbox 360 has Dolby Digital audio with surround sound creating a live gaming experience.

10) Fitted with abilities to work wireless, the Xbox360 is a veritable media hub and works with a digital camera, flash card, thumbdrive, and music player. The Xbox 360 can stream music and photos from a remote PC. The integration is most efficient if the PC runs a Windows Media Center Edition.

Haxor!
I personally could care less about the games or anything of the sort on both consoles! lol. But I own three ps3's, and one Xbox. Now when I rate a console I rate it on the inside of the console.

The xbox 360 failed badly on their design of the console. There was so much open space in the console, they could have placed another fan in the console to make it overheat less and to prevent error codes. Internal Wi-fi possibly? The inside was a sad design and could have had more features. However on the good side, they made a sleek console that was somewhat cheap for people.

The PS3 is a compact gaming console/PC if needed. The PS3 has a internal powersupply, blu ray player, bluetooth board, internal wi-fi, a huge fan(possibly the biggest I have ever seen in a console! lol) and a small chance of over heating even for those all night gamers! This console doesn't have many downsides because even the heatsinks are well placed in the console.

Overall both consoles do what they do and thats what they were made to do. However its a choice that people have to make! For example if all your friends have an Xbox of course you are going to want an xbox. Its personal choice and that is perfectly fine. The only downside I see to the online gameplay is the $60 a year for xbox, but online play just depends on what console your friends have and such.

It depends on the type of experience you want. PS3 is great for media and graphics. 360 has a better online experience.
