(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The rules clearly state that one should not beg for rep or trade for rep ( rep4rep, sell rep for Vbux ,or gifts and ribbons ). The rules listed below would imply that adding "Rep me if I helped" in your signature is a violation of the rules.

-Negative rep
Overusing the negative reputation button or not giving a valid reason for removing someone's rep can give you a warning for misusing the privilege.
-Rep for ___
Asking for rep in exchange for anything is against the rules whether it be vbux, gifts, ribbons or trades.
-Begging
Do not beg for Rep, Thanks, Vbux, Gifts or Ribbons. This includes doing rep4rep with other members.

Very few OG's have any referrence to Rep or thanks in the signatures, but recently you see it in many new member signatures or posts.
A request for rep is a violation of the rules listed above. Either enforce the rules or change them to clearly state that it is permitted to ask for rep in your signature line. ( Isn't asking the same as Begging if it appears in every post you do? )

Maybe the only site mangement enforcement method is to allow general membership to ignore the message?
Maybe nobody gives a crap that it appears many times in every thread line?
Maybe it is time that the rules are changed to clearly allow it and everyone can get more creative in their signatures requests?
Maybe we can have a Signature of the week contest on who can most blatently ask for it without getting in infracted?
Probably we will just ignore the issue and let it continue to slide.
Maybe it is not an issue for anyone else on here?

Does anyone else have an issue with it???

My dear Freddy,

The enthusiam of youth...

I'm just happy it hasn't been closed yet for being done already or, my personal favorite, pointless.

To be stickied is a but a dream.

Although I would rep the mod who did that every 3rd day for a year and be willing to read, you must spread some more around, a thousand times.

Whoops did I just break a rule?

I haven't seen that offer excluded in the rules section !!!

By the way, Don't you just love getting repped by a new member with 0 rep power and they never hit the thumbs up !!!

I'm pretty sure this is the first forum I've been to where the rep system was actually enforced. For me, that really means I'm not terribly invested in the rep process, but if the majority of the people using are doing so the right way, then the purpose and authority of it should remain intact as much as possible.

I.E. don't beg for rep suckers Smile

Rep begging should be against the rules... if you do something good enough the person will remember to rep you.
