Post: HP Is A Bitch. Please Help.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, so i was on youtube when all of a sudden my computer shuts off and then when i turn it back on, It says hard disk not found. And i cant start it now or do anything.

I spoke to Hp with live chat, and like an idiot, told them i dropped it and this happened. They said this would be covered if i had "Accidental damage insurance". I only have regular insurance. Do you think i could call again and tell them this happened out of the blue when i was on the internet? Or do you think this conversation was stored? It was through livechat online. Because then i'll be covered and wont have to spen 398 dollars
:(

Please help! Im willing to donate 20k VBUX for a quality answer.

Google over calling them, reason being, they will convince you to fall into one of their rip off plans on getting it fixed, but if you research it and what not, you could probably save a lot of money. And I had that same problem as you did on my old PC, basically means your harddrive is shot. But one thing you could try is a recovery CD for the Harddrive(You could get them at Best Buy). And if you run it and while its trying to find the Hard Drive using the recovery files, and it says something like: Couldn't find ... Then that means its shot, and you're going to need to get the model # and serial # to write down, since you're going to get a new hard drive. And just ironic how the same thing happened to me like I stated earlier on an HP.

You'll be fine, HP isn't efficient enough to store information from live chats. You can bet that they'll be ripping it apart looking for any evidence that it was your fault

Yes there is indeed, I know a script that will do this to any computer in the click of a button.

Thank you alot!! Are you sure about this? I'll call this time just to be sure. Anything you reccomend i say so that they cant blame it on me not having a particular warranty? I have the regular one and its so fu**ing stupid because it doesnt even have any use.

You're only choice would be a recovery disc as far as I know bro, because like i said I had the EXACT SAME ISSUE, and then my computer nerd friend came over with his recovery cd's and tried to fix it with those(They do work believe me), but it said it couldn't find any local disk or something like that, and that basically = Get new hard drive in that case.
