There's proof and a lot of it. Go ahead and read some of these sites and try and prove it wrong and all that jazz, but I really don't keep posting on this subject. There's just as many of those science FTW sites as there are sites proving that the Bible is true.

Since we do not have the original documents, how reliable are the copies we do have in regard to he number of manuscripts and the time interval between the original and the extant (earliest) copy.
New Testament over 24,000 MSS & portions in existence today.
The Iliad by Homer a close second with 643 MSS.
Old Testament - 40 kings mentioned in chronological order
Kings of same country with respect to Kings of other countries
No stronger evidence for the substantial accuracy of the O.T. than this collection of kings.
Math one chance in 750,000,000,00,000,000,000,000 that this accuracy is mere circumstance.
Discovery of Dead Sea scroll put the death clamp on almost all critics. 40,000 inscribed fragments of which 500 books reconstructed. Found in 1947.

I still personally believe that there IS enough evidence out there for me to have this faith. Aside from going to heaven, I believe that what the Bible encourages is a better and healthier lifestyle that I want to live.
