"This is a somewhat touchy topic but I honestly want to know why you people who do drugs, do them.

I can't think of ANY positives that come from doing them.

So please enlighten me as to why you smoke or do drugs. Change my mind that they aren't completely retarded, I can give 3 negatives for each positive you come up with, that is if there are any.
" This is kinda a loaded question you think? Odviously there are NO positive repercussions to doing illegal drugs or legal stuff (smoking, drinking). I know all about negative repercussions when it comes to substance abuse. Im 28 now, when I was 20 I did my share of wild, crazy and stupid things. After a all nighter with some friends of mine and one really big bottle of Crown Royal, and countless beers I took it upon myself to drive to a friends apartment with a friend of mine and on my way I seen a highway patrolmen have someone pulled over and was giving a ticket. I thought it would be funny if I pulled up next to him and throw my Blazer in neutral then rev it up and throw it in drive peeling out next to him...I was promply pulled over and I knew the cop. I was in NO condition to drive but I pleaded with him to let me and my friend just drive home. He ended up letting me go with the stipulation that I drive home immeadeatly! I had no intentions of going home. Its about 4:00am and we're trying to make it to another friends apartment when I rolled my Blazer several times and struck a home. By the grace of God me and my friend were not seriously injured, neither was the family that was asleep when I hit there house. After sometime in jail, court oppointed AA classes, victim impact statments, drug and alcohol assesments, revocked drivers license (1 year), and staggering amounts of fines and lawyers fee's I learned some very valuable lessons! Im not here to chastise others that drink or smoke, thats your choice. You have the right to do anything you want. All im saying is do it responsibly, and think of others that might be affected by your choices.

I have smoked weed before, but im not taking drugs like E, Bars, Oxycotton. There are the drugs im sure im not getting in to.

What Im about to say is very cliche' but here it is...peer pressure and social acceptance was the beginning of it, substance withdraw came later.
