Its funny that many of them have had TV shows done on them and I thought a few paid better than shown.
That guy with the show " The dirtiest Jobs " has a few of these beat.


I guess the lesson is go to college, get a bunch of loans, and stay broke for tens years paying them off??

Working in an Asian sweatshop would be the worst in the world.

Seamen ship is hard work I have to do a combination of that and understudying the 3rd Officer for 3 years then I qualify as a Ships 3rd Officer. But it's good fun not sure what the pay is like for a seamen but as a third officer it's around 29 thousand pounds a year which is above the national average and if you on that at 21 then you ain't done bad.

Honestly though seaman ship is a pretty good job if your good with your hands and if you work the right days you won't have to pay income tax that off course depends on what type of ship you're on, The only part of the job that's dangerous is when you moore the ship up when it comes into port and that's only because one of the wires on the winches could snap and if you're in the wrong place it will cut you in half or if you're lucky take one of your limbs off.

EDIT: after looking at the article the type of "seamen" they refer to are the ones working on small vessels, above I'm referring to the seamen that work on larger vessels e.g. cruise ships, cargo ships etc.

i do roofing, dangerous but the money is very good!
