(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So i was doing some research and found from weather.com that the jet stream moves straight through Japan to the US. What is the radiation seeping from the small holes in some nuclear power plants due to the explosions that happened there radiates up into the jetstream then gets pulled right over to the US. There could be acid rain or many worse things. Any ideas on the topic?

Yea it makes sense but what if the explosions keep happening. Then a nuclear meltdown occurs and its Chernobyl all over again

The United State government will warn us if it is a health risk to the population. Other than that, it's out of our hands.

Radiation makes it way into the water system increasing the overall radiation levels.

It means certain things have higher then allowed levels of radiation.
Could also effect growth if high enough.
Bans on certain foods may be likely.

I doubt it going to be too high. From what i been reading.

I was reading that it was going up with the hydrogen released by the plant in an attempt to not cause a meltdown had about was about 1/10 of the way to being incredibly dangerous. Even so, it may not necessarily effect us but are animals and crop production

People 155 miles away in Tokyo are safe. Do you know how long the Pacific Ocean is?

The jet stream goes straight over japan, picks up the vapors, and takes them where it leads which in this case is the us. How fast is the wind blowing towards Tokyo compared to the speed the jet stream is blowing towards us
