(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Should the words, "under god" be taken out of the pledge of allegiance. I am for it being removed as every since I became an Atheist I don't even say those word when the pledge is being said.

Yes. It was added in the 20th century (unconstitutionally), and should not be present.

I completely agree, and whats interesting is that most people think it was always there which is a complete lie.

Also, have seen you on in forever.

I mean just cause your atheist doesn't mean it has to be removed. Other people might like having it.

I no longer say the pledge due to this. Church and State are meant to be held separate, it is in the constitution. Added 1956 after Christianity pressured the government into adding it.

Just don't say the pledge. No need to push your atheism onto other people. I'm an atheist and I just don't participate in saying the pledge. Not gonna get into much technicalities because this is just one of those subjects that will be debated upon forever.

It shouldn't be there in the first place. It only is there because of Christianity forcing itself on it.

Completely agree with you J4H, it's stupid that it was ever introduced in the first place and it really does need removing.

Having said that, can you imagine the ****storm that would occur if it was removed(namely from places like Texas)? LOL.

Nobody's forcing you to say the pledge. Plain and simple.
