A Texas woman was rushed to hospital after accidentally impaling herself on a toilet roll holder.

The unnamed woman, 69, fell in her bathroom and pierced her neck on the object, but still managed to call for help.

When Dallas Fire Department arrived on at the scene, they found the victim - still fully conscious - sitting on the toilet with the holder stuck in her neck.

After removing the item with bolt cutters, the woman was taken to hospital but only needed a few stitches on the wound.

A Dallas Fire Department spokesman said: "She has a history of bad knees and it's very difficult for her to walk.

"She apparently fell and the toilet paper holder just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time."

This is why they created adult diapers. Silly old people, toilets are for kids :p
