(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Recently Obama sent over troops in Libya to aid the French which has created for an even greater civil war in Libya that has no end.(Gaddafi will not step down). This situation could have definetly been better handled- by Obama going to NATO and discussing a resolution that was bipartisin(not just solely based on his mal judgement as a president). Not only has there been uproar in Libya but throughout all parts of the middle east like Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to name a few. So what are your guys opinions on the protests in these countries? And what action do you feel the U.S should take if they should even make one at all?

They will do what they always do.
Twiddle their thumbs and then make a move at exactly the wrong time.
If they were going to get involved, it should have been 3 weeks ago, when he was on his heels.
Now they look like the typical ineffective assholes that they are.

US troops are not on the ground. Well no combat troops maybe scouts finding targets for the air force.

Libya rebals are current under the protection of a no fly zone. Being done by Uk , french and US jets. Along with support from other nations. Not all nations within the UN are playing a play in this this.
That i think a mistake

If the UN going to allow this then all UN nations should play a role. Not just a couple doing the donkey work.
And if we as a race want to uphold are values then we must stand together. And insure that we are fighting for rights not just a resource.
Of course the problem is we have limited resources so we pick are fights to what matters and could give us gain.
That the simple problem why we don't fight for the others being killed trying to rise up. Along with the fact we don't help by keeping it unfair to be rich.

Dirty secret
People do what they need to do for gain.

Imo
All nations should be helping the rise up and others. We should share resources and make sure no one nation super rich.

Do think we should be helping but i think all UN nations should be. Unless all the talk about human rights is nothing but noise

I think they shouldn't get involved where they aren't asked to help. Simple as that. Look at yourself before you try to help others

that is a very ignorant and uneducated argument....throughout time the U.S has been seen as country dedicated to the protection of our allies even when others stood down. However, this war is more then that.....the sad thing is it could have been better handled 3 weeks ago when the rebels had most parts of Libya controlled xcept Tripoli. We could have hit Gaddafi hard then-_______- its a shame that a 16 year old knows more then a 50 year old man. I feel as tho the word precocious is becoming less valid....when a kid understands the means of foreign policy and our commander and chief just sits back and picks out who he thinks will win march madness. Truly a shame....how hard it is to find a well rounded president....idgaf about race just give me a courageous man that will truly be recognized as a great face for America in terms of foreign policy and other decision he makes in office

People are struggling to keep their house warm (old people mainly) and are at risk of dieing from it. The government cut their pension and the gas companies raise their bills.
The government sack 11 000 troops, by email might I add including people serving in Afghanistan, cut the RAF, decommission brand new fighter jets, decommission Navy boats and fail to provide adequate equipment to those serving on the front line.

So what does our bright Prime Minister do? Starts another war. It costs £900 000 for ONE Tomahawk Cruise Missile. It costs £40 000 and HOUR to keep a Tornado jet in the air. Considering they are doing round trips from England to Libya taking 8 hours and refuelling 3-4 times, that's £320 000 for that ONE bombing mission with that ONE plane.

The cost of this was is about £500 000 000+ as an estimate.

Then you have the warships in the ocean costing God knows how much as well as Warships patrolling in the Caribbean sea on drug patrol helping out America. The you have the sum of the Afghan War. How much is that costing us? We are using Jets, Bombs, ammo and whatever else over there. We have men dieing for our government to look good. I have an idea. Let's send out Tony Blairs, Gordon Browns and David Camerons kids to the front line. Let's see how they like it when it's there sons/daughters fighting and dieing and not somebody elses.

I have kudos for the the Princes being in the military. At least Harry wanted to go to Afghanistan to fight, until his life became at great risk due to the press leaking it.

Now that's ****ed up.

They don't cost £900,000. They range $300,000 to $1,000,000 depending on which quality missile is used. Thought I'd throw that out there. As an American I don't think we need to be policing other countries, Libya isn't our problem.
