(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); In Japan, the cost to rebuild is going to most likely destroy their economy. This is sort of the end for them trying to recover from their crisis. Looks like we'll be losing out on a lot more than just our video games being delayed...

This month's catastrophic quake and tsunami could cost Japan's government in excess of 25 trillion yen ($300 billion), an official said Thursday.

Deputy Finance Minister Mitsuru Sakurai told reporters that authorities are currently planning a supplemental budget, in an effort to immediately inject money and resources into the hardest hit areas outside of the standard annual budget process. He said that the cost of that bill alone could top 10 trillion yen.

Meanwhile, officials are also trying to grasp the overall economic impact of the disaster -- as well as how much money the national government will put toward reconstruction efforts. Right now, Sakurai said the estimates range from 16 trillion to 25 trillion yen.

"(But) we might have to consider to put more money in," he said.

This is all in response to a devastating March 11 disaster that rocked northeastern Japan, at a steep financial and human cost.

As of Thursday afternoon, 11,438 were confirmed dead from the March 11 earthquake and subsequent tsunami, according to Japan's National Police Agency. There are 16,541 missing and 2,873 injured.

I know it could **** up the economy and cause global mayhem, but for life to excel on earth there need to be money. Im guessing that there is around $50 Trillion debt across the globe all together. If all the nations signed some sort of 'treaty' allowing for more money to be injected into the worlds economy then surely that would solve these problems? Yes for every action there will be a consequence, but money is worthless if there is a huge debt problem. It would be an extremely complicated process but by injecting say $100 Trillion into the global economy would solve world wide crisis. The consequences like people not working are just a factor they will have to accept if it gets people's lives on track. The way im thinking it should all balance out nicely.

Thats way less than the trillions of dollars in debt we owe, so actually the U.S. is the poorest country in the world?

Bad title you have there. Regardless of the disaster, Japan will not be the worlds poorest country. That honour goes to the Congo.

Google it if you don't believe me.

Well Zimbabwe, Burundi or the Congo, are around the same.
