Probably the Korean/Vietnam era. My grandpa was in those wars. Luckily he was in the technological side of the war, but he did get to go all over the place. Like from all that, my mom was born in Bremerhaven, Germany.

For one Hitlers book sold many copies so he was a successful Author , Also growing up he was an Artist .If thats not enough he did provide funds for the Volkswagen and the porsche. In the start of the war the NAZIs were INDOMITABLE . On top of that at the start of his reign he did solve all the economic problems from the treaty of Versailles . Once again i dont like Hitlers Actions , but to say that he was nothing but evil and brought no good is bullshit .

Ignorant? I acknowledge Hitler as one of the most powerful and deadly men in humanity has ever known.

His great success all boils down to the emotions the people of Germany had felt.

In the early 20s...his power and influence grew due to the hyper inflation in Germany. AFTER that it waned because the middle class had been restored and a stable economic recovery had begun in Germany. After Stresemann's death and the slump in the economic recovery in the late 20s...then the Great Depression...Hitler's influence grew due to the emotions of the people. He played off of the fact that the Treaty of Versailles was unfair and should be destroyed.

At the start of the war the Nazis were very successful. Their lightning war overtook France in three weeks. Hitler had very successful generals as well.

BUT...

You call him a genius...yet he decided to invade the USSR after their non-aggression pact. Causing a two front war which was probably one of the major mistakes he ever made. You don't have to be a genius to know a two-front war is nearly impossible to win.

I mean...yeah...genius right there...right ?

You said the only thing Hitler was a genius at was public speaking . Ever since The debacle of Nazi Germany , Many Psychologist and Historians belive that Hitler was under so much anxiety he taught the Russians would Attack him . On top of that he felt that the only country that was as strong as him was The soviet union (RUSSIA , USSR) he wanted Germany to be the most powerful country . He did want to take over Europe . What Historians debate is if he wanted to take over the world . However Hitler followed the same course as Napoleon the 1st , Last thing you said the most powerful man and the deadliest . That is wrong let me give you a list .

3.Adolf Hitler
2. Joseph Stalin
1. Mao Tse Tung

one of the most powerful and deadly men in humanity has ever known.

Does that mean the most? No. Please read my post before trying to prove something to be wrong :y:.

All facists were paranoid about communists. The same way communists were terrified of facists and Americans terrified of communists.

Sorry but no matter how he felt...he made a very bad strategic decision to invade the USSR even after signing a non-aggression pact. Hitler knew he couldn't afford a two front war. Fortunately he made the mistake of causing one.

You don't look at all of the facts. Just sayin'.

One interesting fact about WW2.
Everyone knows that over 6 million died in the nearly 20,000 death camps the gestapo and waffen ss set up.
Well over 1/2 were Polish Jews and most Germans claimed, after the war, that they didn't know, including the German infantry.

What is not talked about is how the German infantry killed over 18 million Russian civilians in the war. Most were raped, set on fire, and shot in an organized manner.

More than 3 times the total numbers killed in the camps in the final solution, were killed by standard german infantry on the eastern front.

And here is one of my favorite Hitler Pictures:
