Climbing up the ladder
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This has come from a little talk i had with my son!! Kids are getting sharper nowadays!!

I was trying to tell him about the real reason of easter and about jesus (i'm not religious he wanted to know!) so we got onto the talk of eggs!

I tried to explain it was the new beggining of life etc. so he asks about why they are chocolate!!
Can anyone explain that?!!
Then he asks where the eggs come from! (i thought he was going to get into the sex subject!) so i told him chickens!!

So he asks "Why is there an easter bunny for the eggs then dad has he adopted them!"

What the hell has a bunny got to do with chocolate eggs? I cannot explain can anyone!!!

In Flames Much?
Egg is used as a symbol of the rebirth of the earth. Around spring time like many things early Christians converted it for there own use. It as the symbol of resurrection of Jesus within the Christian community.

Over time we forgotten the point of it. Over time it merged into the celebration of ending of lent had less meaning about jesus.
That why we have easter eggs.

As for why the rabbit is important that simple it was never talked about by Christians in texts. But looks to be a link from pagans about spring coming been linked into easter.
Sir right on the meaning of rabbits

Thanks I knew about the meaning of the rebirth etc therefore the eggs but didn't know where we suddenly changed them to chocolate? And i am not sure what the bunny comes from cuz even paganism surely isn'tthat silly to think that a bunny comes along with chocolate eggs and hands them around????!!!

Not a sudden change

Good example of how meaning of things change with time , as cultures change them.

Christians in order to make there region less forced used certain pagan things to make the pill less bitter. Also meant not having to rewrite the whole year. And force people to change holidays why do you think Christmas is near a pagan date.

And no pagans don't believe rabbits bring choc that meaning was added on top of why the rabbit was first used.
