Sorry if you guys think this is a dumb thread.

Ok, For three years now I have found that my addiction to online FPS games has grown aton.(I only play COD btw) It used to be when Cod4 was the game I was on in the summer alot and then when school started I was still doing other activities. It has now gotten to the point were I get home from school at 3:30 PM from school get online play about 9-11 hours straight. Then I go to bed wake up at 5 AM and from then till I get home and get online Im thinking about games. In school I sit there everyday thinking about whats goin down on NGU and playing games like I dont know what to do or how to stop. Please give me some ideas to lighten my addiction

Thanks,
Zallunt

It's easy to talk to people at school you kinda just have to "butt in" on conversations
I remember when I joined Jiujiutsu I was the new guy you know and they make all the new guys sit toguether while the guys that go regularly spar so they put us toguether on one area me I just can't be next to someone and be quiet it makes me desperate and In my head im jsut thinking Like ok ok umm what do i tell this guy and this is how i started simple "hey I'm (censored)" then go for handshake and he told me his name and from there i asked him like Oh so what brought you out here and bla bla then where he's from and from then on it was easy because 1 we were both starting new on something and we were just talking on the crazy moves people were doing then we were just joking around about random things and in the end what im saying is join a something that you and others enjoy as it gives u something to talk about, but i would say a Jiujitsu/muay thai gym is the best to make good conversation it's al chill and everyone is SUPEr respectful to everyone and since your the new guy the older guys are going to approach you to give you types and encouragement

Used to be like me last year, i would go from about 4pm and 'time flew' by and it 11pm in no time, non-stop gaming. I've cut my time down to less than an hour every few days, it takes A LOT of will power; an addiction is an addiction, no matter what type of form have it be gaming or smoking. With Will power you overcome it.

A good way to start is to put your controller/s on top of a high shelf that you need a chair/ladder to reach, i did this and i was that lazy i could never be bothered to get the controller, so i went and did something else. Go take up a sport like football (soccer to you Americans) It's great and nearly everyone will enjoy it.

I also saw that you said you were 16 right? Well you have a LOT of freedom at that age, go out with freinds, make freinds, go to the gym, go to the beach (if one is near you) etc.

Also, it may seem nerdy and geeky, but try and Revise/Study for an Hour per night at least, it will help you a ton when exams come round and you will leave School with great Qualifications.

Hoped this somewhat helped! Good Luck!
