Yes he was what we would call a deist today. Back then though, he would have been referred to an atheist due to his disbelief in religion. In fact, Christians were early on referred to as atheists.

Whether The Illuminati exist or not isn't an issue. Even if there was a secret cabal of evil royalty controlling everything, they aren't the root cause of the problem, they're simply a tendency. People often forget to ask "How did they get that way in the first place?" People only become "evil," for lack of a better word, because of environmental reinforcement. For example, there is no such thing as a greedy baby. These things are learned.

So the problem doesn't lie in the current power elite. Because, hypothetically, say they all die of heart attacks tomorrow. ALL of them. A new power elite would simply take their place eventually. It's unavoidable in our current socioeconomic system. When the world runs on the free-market, and the basic tenets of business theory are simply to just 1) cut costs, and 2) profit, it's an inevitability and even normal for cartels to form, corruption to happen, and poverty to exist.

What must be done is a re-evaluation and revamp of the system as a whole in order to create a more humane society.

Anything else would just be an insufficient circlejerk.

Michael Jackson was always in the scope of the media, he spoke out against the Illuminati and he was going to release, "The World's Biggest Secret" in his live shows but "coincidentally" he died. Tupac made "The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory" although Tupac said that he doubted the existence of the Illuminati he always spoke out about how the government was ran, how we were heading to another form of slavery etc. In my opinion, if he is dead, then that's the reason he is. Music Artists like Rihanna, Beyonce and Jay Z have symbols in their videos for the Illuminati.
