If he hasn't made any effort to contact you in 20 years, why the **** should you even bother? No excuse can justify that much time. He's probably contacting you to satisfy his own demons.... But, at the end of the day, it's down to you.... This is the way i would make my choice, could i happily carry on living my life as it was, giving him no chance at all.. Or, giving him the chance to explain himself and possibly get closure on the whole issue (if that is what you are looking for?)...

Choice is down to you...

My dad left when I was a baby.
I don't even know what he looks like, but I'm not mad at him.
I think you should at least meet him, and if he has a good reason for leaving then don't be too angry with him.
