(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A Stanford University Geophysics Professor is of the opinion that there is a great likelihood of war between China and the US because of oil. Oil is key to progress, and as China is making progress on a huge scale with regard to commerce and industry, its need for oil is growing to the extent that it is currently competing for oil with the US. The US has been importing oil since 1971 and is currently importing two thirds of its oil from outside sources. Prof. Nur is of the opinion that this may be the main reason for the US involvement in Middle East wars, including lately Libya. He asks if Libya did not have any oil, would anyone have cared about Libya? And then concludes that tension in the Middle East will get worse with tension between super powers as well when they are competing for oil from this area.
If what the professor said is true, that would be an awful war :(

At the moment the only threat China holds, is if they decided to stop trading with the U.S. And trust me, they would feel the pain before us.

Numbers used to mean a-lot during war but considering the military technologies the U.S has (both known and unknown) numbers don't mean shit.

BUT If things continue the same way they are currently for the United States, and China significantly improves and increases their military technologies they could be a threat in 10 or more years.

What's their army? Untrained peasants rounded up by the government. What's their airforce? 10 years behind ours. How would china even get aircraft, troops, or armor to America? By an aircraft carrier, or by a cargo plane. Then to a base, which would be nowhere near US soil. Our fighter jets would take out the carriers or planes, or Navy would do the rest. The US has bases in Japan, Korea, and on many islands in the pacific, ready to strike. Typical UK kid dumbing down america.

In about 10 years or so, by the exponential growth china has today, they will be the super-country of the world. U.S. will no longer be in power. That's not to say something won't happen between then to knock such numbers down. *hint*, mass depopulation.

Al qeada is around because they are hidden world wide and strike from the shadows. And personally Osama has been dead for years( Obama just needed a boost in support for the upcoming election year).

And when the **** does more soldiers equal more warheads?? I think your confusing money with soldiers?

Most of China's military weapons are extremely outdated, and knock offs.

I did do my math, if the U.S was to fight China on the water we would have a completely better chance of winning. If we were to invade tho, who knows.

If you noticed I said in time, they will no doubt be able to. The U.S has basically lost it's will to fight. I ignored the thought of us invading them because It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know it would be near suicide.
