A bomb threat for London has been issued by Irish dissidents in the first coded warning outside Northern Ireland in 10 years, officials say.
Streets around the Mall were closed for five hours on Monday morning amid a major security alert.
BBC security correspondent Gordon Corera said: "My understanding is that this may have come because of a coded warning, which is why there is more concern about it than normal. Threats come in and out all the time.
"But if it was a specific code word warning, that would suggest something more serious and that would be why we have had this alert."

WE LOST OUR LANGUAGE BECAUSE OF THE ENGLISH.! :O
Kids in Ireland would go to school and wear a stick around their necks and then the teacher would make a mark for every Irish word you said and at the end they would wack you all the marks you had. So it wasn't just soldiers who got rid of us it was the teachers priests EVERY ONE!

Actually some British soldiers have just killed Irish people in revenge, and I'm referring to Bloody Sunday. I think it will be gas when the Queen goes to Croke Park and they tell her the stand was named after a Tip Gaelic Football player which was killed by the British... wonder what she'd say to that

Whether it was or not. I have absoloutely no respect for protestant and their dickheaded government. I could get the queen killed if I wanted, I have connections with IRA members and I'm closely relateded to those chauffering the queen upon her visit. Just sayin'

Dude that's bullshit... sorry but it is, the RIRA ain't going to kill the queen if you ask them, I'm Irish and I'd love if that were true but its not sorry...
