A bomb threat for London has been issued by Irish dissidents in the first coded warning outside Northern Ireland in 10 years, officials say.
Streets around the Mall were closed for five hours on Monday morning amid a major security alert.
BBC security correspondent Gordon Corera said: "My understanding is that this may have come because of a coded warning, which is why there is more concern about it than normal. Threats come in and out all the time.
"But if it was a specific code word warning, that would suggest something more serious and that would be why we have had this alert."

Which ain't going to solve the problem and just bring more people into a never ending cycle.
It time for both Catholics and Protestants to live side by side.
By dividing protestants from the rest of ireland they are not going to vote to join it. You could say they have no right but sadly it there home now. If people truly believe in a united ireland you got to give something to get what you want.
Meh that my view i know it more complex then that

The British killed our men, one of them my grandad. I would have met him if it wasnt for the British.
Sure, us Irish killed some british, but jeesh. It was in self defence.
You dont see us going over to England trying to take yere land? Huh?
Thought so. 1916 Rising was a turning point. If you guys ever see the films we have seen, Like Michael Collins and The Wind that shakes The Barley, you wouldnt like that happen your native men?
And them films are not 100% true, biast at that, but still It was 100000 times worse than in the films
