As you know, or at least you should really... Rep is gone. This has sparked mixed reviews in the community and to be honest, I'm quite sick of hearing nothing but Side A VS Side B. So here it is, discuss, debate and vote away.

Don't flame, don't bitch or a mod will close it and rightly so.

Oh and if you want my opinion. I like rep, I don't love it, I don't need it, I just like it. For some it's more, for some it's less, but like any system... boosters going to boost.

inb4 poll result is bring it back, seeing how the first poll was to keep it started by chris, when he asked what the community thinks about the situation. Then they the staff took it upon themselves to disable the rep, because they don't feel like doing any work dealing with rep as stated by chris and np, so instead of being lazy about it why not create a couple new mod spots that only do rep abuse and what not. oh and don't forget that thing with sub zero miss using the neg rep and not getting infracted for it!!!

I agree and disagree. For one thing rep doesn't mean nothing like Chris says above. In fact I knew people who purposely wanted -rep stars just to prove this matter. Anyways not going to hate on the decision but I still think the people who worked hard for those rep stars are more disappointed about this decision because its hard work earning alot of rep stars legitimately then having them taken away from not just you but everyone. I'm actually going to vote for it to come back, but not for a while at least until people realize that rep is not for you to abuse but to earn That's what I'm hoping.

I was glad it was gone, because it was tearing the community in half. If new members sign up and see no rep, they won't know of it; so, they'd still act the same as WITH rep, because some halfwits on this forum don't know what rep is.

Also, I knew a few people who left NGU because of rep tearing the community in half, the people who hated it, and the people who loved the number so much, they probably made a shrine to it in their bedroom...

But, yeah, I guess the new thanks/groan system is okay, it sort-of brings back reputation functions, whilst keeping some/most people happy.

Dude, this current system is WAY worse. People are abusing the groan button like there's no f*cking tomorrow.
