The Salvation Army will be celebrating the 73rd Doughnut Day June 3rd. Doughnut Day started as a fundraiser for the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is widely credited with popularizing the doughnut in the United States by feeding American soldiers the tasty treat during World War I. The “lassies” of World War 1 served donuts to soldiers behind the front lines.

I think I'll celebrate this day, by going to my local Krispy Kreme and recieving my FREE Doughnut. Yep, FREE. Just show up and get your free Doughnut. Oh, you want one? Just go to your local doughnut provider, ie. Krispy Kreme and possibly Dunkin' Donuts for your free Doughnut. To find your nearest Krispy Kreme You must login or register to view this content.

Think I'll go with an Original Glazed, what about you guys? Menu below
