They should definitely keep the death penalty for the really, really bad people, like the ones that go on a murdering spree.

Well, they killed someone. They should be killed. This could give those killing freaks a second thing to think about. Kill and be killed.

Well this may sound extreme, but in some countries if you steal, you get your fingers chopped off. If I was a crook, that would 100% deter me. I'm not saying this is what we should ultimately do, but it's something to think about. If the punishment is high enough, some people would shy away from petty crimes. I think in Brazil they feed you to the vultures. It's crazy shit, but sad to say, effective.

I am 100% for the death penalty, for reasons stated above, and also due to the fact that if I had a choice of life in prison or death, I'd take death (it's better than sitting around in jail forever).

I am for the death penalty. It is said it is cheaper to keep them locked up than killing. If that is so kill them in groups, saves time and money.

I'm against the death penalty, I don't see how a nation that considers itself "morally right" can kill other human beings without regard. I mean, they're really no better than the victim him or herself.
