Fill in the blank: Type your answer in the box, select the appropriate units, and then click "submit".

What is the surface area of the regular pyramid given below?
It pictures a green regular pyramid with the dimensions 9 and 9. They aren't slant height, but lengths of the base. Its a regular square pyramid: so if it looked like:
^
v (the top being the back and the bottom being the front [visible] side - the dimensions would be here):
hereVhere

If that makes any sense..

Anyhow, it then has an textbox to take in my answer, and I can choose from the units (though I know its units squared).

Please help me out, and let me know if clarification is needed.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but to find slant height you need to half of one side length of the base (4.5) and the height of the pyramid- use Pythagorean Theorem to find the slant height. so 4.5^2+9^2=x^2

H^ = O^ + A^
^ Means squared.
Thats the formula to find the slant height

The area for a triangle is 1/2 the Base X the Perpendicular Height.

I'll let you do the rest because you won't learn how to do it if I tell you the answer.
But if you are still stuck, quote me with a better explanation of the lengths.
