18 year old Tyell Morton is facing 2-8 years in prison because of a harmless senior prank. You may be asking what sort of ruthless mayhem occurred for him to deserve this.

Morton placed a package with a blow-up doll inside of it, in the girls' restroom at his school. The school was evacuated and the Indiana State Bomb Squad was called in (because they thought it was a bomb).

The incident claimed to cost the school over $8000. Morton, who has never been in trouble with the law before is wondering how the situation got so bad. His bond has been placed near $30,000.

If he is found guilty, he will not get to go to graduation, and will be banned from visiting school property.

Yes, i wrote this. Post your opinions and feelings about the incident.

Anyways, I don't think he deserves 8 years in jail or even 2. I say he should be responsible for the debt collected, be forced to do community service, and gets at most suspended from school for a week. After all without a previous record I don't think he deserves any harsher punishment.

After 911 ,this is proof that the new terrorism laws passed does not f*ck around.
Regardless if the stunt was nothing more than a prank,an example has to be set to deter others in doing same.
8 years is bloody harsh indeed m8.

Dont bring 911 into this, 911 has nothing at all to do with a shitty school getting a prank done to it.

What is sad is that his life is ruined (so to speak) now. Forget any university, any profiting career.

Your an idiot. This had to do with belief in terrorism. You make it dead obvious you didn't read the article.

They'll call disturbing the peace, along with criminal mischief. They have him on camera and he admitted to it.

The police force isn't taking any chances when it comes to boxes left behind, with no one to pick it up. If he had put the doll on one of the toilets, without the box it wouldn't be like this. This is pre 9-11, when the unibomber use to leave boxes around. Perhaps it was a joke, but he picked the wrong way to do it.

Just another case of the school's incompetence costing a kid his future. Absolute joke.

Lol I'd laugh if he got a jail sentence, infact I want him to get one because it just shows how shit the legal system is.
