18 year old Tyell Morton is facing 2-8 years in prison because of a harmless senior prank. You may be asking what sort of ruthless mayhem occurred for him to deserve this.
Morton placed a package with a blow-up doll inside of it, in the girls' restroom at his school. The school was evacuated and the Indiana State Bomb Squad was called in (because they thought it was a bomb).

The incident claimed to cost the school over $8000. Morton, who has never been in trouble with the law before is wondering how the situation got so bad. His bond has been placed near $30,000.
If he is found guilty, he will not get to go to graduation, and will be banned from visiting school property.

hmm true i guess he didn't wanna leave any trace back to him (fingerprints) but someone probably saw him and snitched on him. Shit happens i guess but its just not fair in my opinion.

I guess you don't understand how 911 has struck fear into the hearts of most americans.
Terrorism has brought about strict security measures including body scans at airports,the amount and type(s) of fluids that can be carried onboard flights and being of muslim religion entering US soil does not help your case one iota, are just a few examples.Add to that any packages/bags left unattended instantly triggers an emergency alert and a chain reaction of events in neutralizing the threat.
This "emergency alert" trickles through all government departments,schools not being an exception(regardless if run privately).
