Adding some else as the named driver is insurance fraud, if you crash your car and they find out that you are driving it a lot more than the named driver you will be charged with insurance fraud, so be warned.

Depends what car your driving, and sorry i dont know any sites or anything.
But, to the above, thats insurance fraud and if you crash your screwed. And if you get fined you will be more out of pocket than just paying for your insurance :y:
No it's not. When you put your parents as a named driver, they ask how often they will be driving it. You put "occasionally" or whatever is the less option. For you, you put the most. They can't track who's driving it the most and when, as long as there aren't any restrictions on time, i.e, the 2nd driver (you) can't driver between 11pm and 5am because if you do crash, then you're screwed.
There are lots of ways to bring it down. Having a tracker so you can only drive within certain times. Having a box that records everything you do. Speeding makes your price go up. Sticking to the limit makes it go down. Driving in peak times go up, non peak times goes down. That's if you want shit like that, which I personally don't.
Also the car doesn't do shit any more. I've tried cars ranging for 1997 to 2003. All different makes and models. Both same price as each other. Obviously the 2003 would be my pick.
I'm 19 and trying to find cheap insurance. I live in a town centre postcode, so it's high. The cheapest I have got is £3800 third party fire and theft. Wait a month till I'm 20 and it comes down to 3300 with pass plus. The most common price for fully comp is £8000. Some at £5-6000. Aviva are cheapest fully comp at £4400. Still way too much. I might just get a new bicycle, or become a girl.
