Post: Prostitution

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, opinions on prostitution? Should it be legal or not? Maybe only under certain circumstances? Yes/no?

This topic came to mind as I saw a program on TV, 2 female police officers(UK) pretending to be prostitutes then subsequently arresting the "customers". Surely this is extremely unfair? Opinions, please Smile

I think it should be legal as it helps prevent from rapes, if those girl want to make money with their body that's their problem, they are not forced to

Pimps should go to jail though, I was only talking about prostitutes that work on their own

2. Prostitution is not a complete action done in public
3. Prostitution affects no one else, but the two in the act

BTW That isn't atheism Winky Winky

Thats true but, there are many things that are "illegal" that follow those 3 points. You have drugs and much more thats worse dependent on the situation.

The use of drugs is totally different as they almost always have a completely negative effect on the person(s) involved. Having sex is the exact opposite, it's actually very, very healthy.

I think it should be legal but you have the right to do background checks on them and their medical records so you don't end up getting an STD/AIDS. I think prostitution is okay because the 'sellers' are consenting to the buyers (for a fee, of course, but you end up paying for sex either way hehe). Sure, if it is popular in a certain region or city, it might get looked down upon, especially by religious people, but that's their opinion. It's not rape or anything, so why not? It's better than all those horny desperate men and women raping people and stuff!

So if something is bad for me should it be illegal? No. Cigarettes are completely legal after the numerous studies so then the question becomes why are they still legal. Is it all the lobbyists the cigarette companies send to Washington, only partially. As long as the government has the ability to properly regulate it, and give the necessary warnings to everyone they could care less. The reason marijuana is still illegal is many do not want to implicate it as they fear the change. I for one am for it, although I have never smoked.
