(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, opinions on prostitution? Should it be legal or not? Maybe only under certain circumstances? Yes/no?

This topic came to mind as I saw a program on TV, 2 female police officers(UK) pretending to be prostitutes then subsequently arresting the "customers". Surely this is extremely unfair? Opinions, please Smile

It seems illegal and outlandish to me but **** the cops that do bait and lure traps like this. I feel their jobs as servants to the city are not served out at all and that they would be doing a greater service to catch the greater criminals.

Legal. It's your body and your risk, do as you please. Just don't expect Obamacare to treat your STD.

You guys seem to be missing the point. The reason why prostitution is illegal is because women that take into the act of prostitution are almost always exploited. A regular woman does not just go and be like "Oh hey, you know what's a great idea? ****ing for money with complete strangers in a unsafe environment. Yeah, **** porn, I rather subject myself into an environment that's much more dangerous and unchecked". Guys there is a reason why there is a porn industry and not a prostitution industry.

1) "Pimps" do not exist in countries where prostitution is legal.
2) Legal, regulated prostitution is 100% safe and 100% optional. Nobody gets forced into it.

Holland is a good example.

It should be legalized. There is no reason to stop people from selling their bodies if that is what they wish to do. It doesn't bother anyone except the people involved in the act. If it was legal, the government could earn some tax revenue from it. Pimping wouldn't really be around if the government regulates it. The police force; whatever minimal amount dedicated to stopping prostitution could be redirected at stopping real crime. Morality should not be an issue; if you don't agree with prostitution; don't get involved on either side of it. It shouldn't concern you, if it isn't directly related to you. Plus, think of all of the horny, lonely people out who want some company.

I can't believe no one has posted this yet. Penn & Teller: Bullshit is one of my favorite shows of all time.
