(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, opinions on prostitution? Should it be legal or not? Maybe only under certain circumstances? Yes/no?

This topic came to mind as I saw a program on TV, 2 female police officers(UK) pretending to be prostitutes then subsequently arresting the "customers". Surely this is extremely unfair? Opinions, please Smile

I've avoided speaking about this until the discussion built up but I'll give my opinion now. I personally hate the sex trade, I alway have. I find prostitution to be a perversion of sex and it's potensial meanings and purposes. I don't even like porn. I consider porn to be gratuitous, pointless, self indulgement which is only present to releave sexual tension. It's not even sexy, the men are always chemically stimulated to be like planks of wood all day and the women are like a damn wind sock because they've been pounded so much everythings lost it's elasticity. The man is pounding away uninterested while the woman growls and looks constipated at the camera.... then he cums on her face. Sorry but no, that's not what sex is like, not even close. But my opinions of the sex trade doesn't matter.

The fact is, I don't like beef either but I'm not going to stop you eating a burger. I'm teetotal also, but I'm not going to stop you having your beer. I'm also a gamer and it doesn't matter how much Jack Thompson hates it, I'm not going to stop shooting people in the crotch in FPS's for giggles. We all have our likes and dislikes, liberty is such that unless it is specifically effecting the other person, that other person has no right to stop you from doing what you want, but the same applies in reverse.

Put simply, my right to throw punches ends at your face. I can throw punches all day long, I can punch a punching bag, a wall, myself, the air... but as soon as I punch you, as soon as I cause you pain, I've crossed the line UNLESS! you give me permission, at which point punches away. (Without that "unless" boxing would be a really boring sport).

When it comes to sex, so long as it's in the privacy of their own home or rented hotel room, where I'm not forced to see it, and all people involved are consenting adults, there's no reason people shouldn't be allowed to do what they want, and this includes prostitution.

As George Carlin once said. "Selling stuff is legal, fücking is legal... so why isn't selling fücking legal?"
I rest my case.

I agree, but if it were legalized it could be processed in a way that would cause it to be less harmful.

Because children are frequently in contact with prostitutes? I will alos point out, you claim it sets a "very bad example". How so? Because it will encourage them to become prostitutes themselves, or to hire prostitutes. So what. That only matters if you can show that prostitution is bad. Your reasoning for prostitution being bad is that it influences children... this is called CIRCULAR LOGIC!

Actually they would only effect the people they're having sex with. On top of that, sex spreads disease not prostitution, so what you're suggesting is we ban sex. Giving someone money after having sex with them will not spontaneously give you herpes.

No there isn't, there are excuses and logical fallacies, you have failed to give a single reason.

It is that simple. Having sex only effects the two people having sex. Giving someone a £20 note only effects the two people involved. Doing one directly after the other does not suddenly involve more people.

Fucking prove it. This is a big claim and quite frankly is offensive and inconsiderate. Don't make such stupid claims unless you can back them up.

Because when you have sex with someone and DON'T pay them, you become immune to HIV apparently.

Are you telling me that crazy desperate murderers can't kill people unless they've paid them for a sexual act, because I think you'll find that's wrong. Timothy McVey managed to murder people without paying them for sex. So did Jefferey Dahmer and Albert Fish.

You are factually wrong, insultingly base and pathetically inane in your arguments. Come back when you can justify a single reason for banning prostitution, until then, don't try to involve yourself in something you know nothing about, you only end up looking like a fool.

I believe prostitution should be legal as long as it's between two CONSENTING adults, I believe nobody else should have a say in what two adults do privately..

EDIT: I'm stupid, just saw that you agreed with me, nevertheless the comment is still valid.

It should stay legal. Some people have no other way to make money. It's their body; so it should be their decision, not the laws decision.

Its their body, just make em register and pay taxes for it and it should be legal
