As a lot of you may know, Netflix recently announced that the prices are going to go up. For unlimited streaming you will pay $7.99, and same for unlimited DVD rentals. If you want unlimited both, you will have to pay $15.98.

A lot of you are thinking, "WTF NETFLIX?!?" Well here is what they are doing. Netflix over the years has been putting many DVD rental businesses out of business. They thought, "Let's make our prices really low, so that way people will forget DVD rentals, and come to us." Now with those companies out of the way, Netflix can raise it's prices. It is believed in the next few years prices may double or even triple what they are now. There will be other companies that do the same thing, such as Hulu.

There is your explanation Smile Hope it cleared up some confusion as to why they felt it was necessary to almost double their prices. Do you think this is fair?

I'm pretty pissed, might have to cancel my subscription. That's a good idea to take out all other businesses and then raise the price though, they are making mega bank!!!

I'm going to laugh if Netflix gets screwed over by their plan. I bet that a lot of people are going to cancel one or both plans .

8 more dollars a month...big whoop. I pay extra for blu-ray & 2 movies a time & you don't see me complaining. Netflix has always been dirt cheap.

8 dollars derp, they're gonna lose all their customers O: oh nooooosss!

:dumb: The money is going partly to an expanded streaming library.

Would you pay if the prices double or triple? They are going to raise prices again soon.
