(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If anyone can solve some of these problems for me I'd love you! This is for a summer assignment for next year btw, I'm not in summer school. please show some of your work. I can't just put the actual answers. I've done about half of these (50 question totals), but I don't have my math book because my dumb school made me turn it back in and I can't find anything remotely useful on Google.

4. Given f(x)= {x^2; x (is less than or equal to) -2
{3x+5; x> -2

find:

a) f(-6) b) f(-2) c) f(0) d) f(10)

5. Given f(x)= x^2 + 3 and g(x) = 4x-1, find:

a) (f-g)(x)
b) (f+g)(x)
c) f(x) x g(x)
d) f of g(x)
e) g of f(x)
f)f(x)/g(x)
g)f(g(2))
h)g(f(2))

6. Find the inverse function of f(x)= 3x-7

7. Write in standard form (a+bi): 4i/1+3i

9. Find all the zeros of: f(x)= x^3-7x^2+11x+19

11. Solve for (x,y)

x+2y=1
5x-4y=-23

13. Given y=x^2-4x+3,

a) write in standard form
b) find vertex
c) find equation of the axis of symmetry
d)find the x-intercepts
e)find the y-intercept

17. Use properties of logarithms to condense:

4lnx-5lny

18. Use properties of logarithms to expand:

log2(3a^4)

*The 2 is lower and by the g again, can't type it like that though.

19. Solve:

3^x = 81

4^x = 27

20. Simplify

(3x^-7y^10/51x^4y^7)^-2

Ok.

I have one more batch of small problems. They are actually part of 20 and 3 of them are from 21. I didn't see the page behind it for some reason. Mainly just factoring or logs, which I suck at.
The "e" is the natural log symbol.

1. Ine^x
2. e^Inx
3. Ine^12
4.e^In(2x-1)
5. (27 over Cool Man (aka Tustin)^-4 over 3 {four-thirds}
6. x^0.5 times x^3/2
7. 16^0.25 divided by 16^0.75
8. x^0.5(3x^2-5x+2)
9. x^-0.5(x^4-3x^2+x)

Solve by factoring - use quad. formula if cannot factor.

1. 2x^2+x-20=0
2.x^3-x^2-20x=0
3.x^2-5x=0
4.2x^2-6x=10
5.2x^2-1=0

Simplify
{Big division problem}

2 - 1 (divided by x)
-------------------
7 + 5 (divided by 3x)

This one is a division problem within a division problem.

Don't feel pressured to do all of these, I'm going to the store so Im just posting these. Thanks for what you have helped me with though.

Okay, I'll give them a go on paper, then maybe take pictures. That seems like the easiest way.

Ok thanks. I know some of them that have the e and ln are just simple logs, but I can't find anything useful on the internet and I had to turn my book in.
